last thursday night, i taught my three year-old what a fumble was while we were watching a college football game. when sunday rolled around, he watched football with me and correctly pointed out several fumbles.
when the cowboys played the bears sunday night, my wife was upstairs getting him ready for bed when one of the cowboys' receivers dropped an easy touchdown pass, prompting a yelp from me.
he got really quiet and asked my wife, "what was that?". she told him that it was just dadda yelling at the tv. he said, "what happened?", to which she said, "well i don't know since i'm up here with you".
he got really quiet again and told her very seriously, "i think it was a fumble".
