"the separation of church and state has rarely seemed more threatened"

that's the best quote, in my opinion, from roger ebert's piece on texas governor rick perry's prayer rally.

i know that christian republicans think this idea was the best thing ever, but imagine if a governor from say, michigan, held a prayer rally that spoke to allah and was only intended for muslims.  would your opinion be the same?
